Kirk, It was great to meet you in person this afternoon after the event at Emory. Your presentation was great and really hit the nail on the head. I truly enjoyed your stories and insight.
I wanted to take a moment, though, and thank you for the books and kind words on my 30 year wedding anniversary. They made my day. Nancy, thought the books and your kind words were great!
One thing that I have to work on is my interaction. You gathered lots of info on me, but seemed like I should have been asking similar questions of you. Talk about thinking about me…..
Got to get over that. Kind of hit me in the car driving home.
So you helped in several ways this afternoon. One, your great speech, two, your kind words as I was leaving for home and three, reminding me that learning about others is just as important as talking about myself. How is that for some lessons. All very much appreciated!
Have a great weekend and thanks again!

Kirk,
You are unbelievable . Everything I was thinking and saying to myself as I was laying in bed with my laptop kept saying Call Kirk, ask if he thinks this is too irreverent, too so I did. Then you lay your presentation on me, Gallup, the like, you are so great man. Such a wealth of knowledge, experience, and willingness to share. I am so excited for this gig, I can’t wait to get my language down for future presentations and really make this effective, combined with the impressions I feel I’m on to something here. Knowing also that principles we’re taught at Church and that I try to implement in my leadership as EQ President is also the way a business should be run, it just reaffirms to me everything I know to be true and inspiring. I love it. These are all eternal principles. Thanks for inspiring me once again.

Hi Kirk! I teach Children’s Literature at UVU and BYU. One of my students, Al Yardley, gave me two of your books - what a gift! It was so refreshing to see fun books that truly shared a message to help kids - all of us! - reflect on life and what we’re offering as we leave tracks in the sand. Keep writing! - Miss Julie (Julie Clark)
Good afternoon Kirk,
I have only a few minutes to write but I wanted to make sure and get a quick hello in and thank you back to you for spending the day with the employees of the HAC on Tuesday - I think you said it best when you said they were hungry for authenticity and honest talk. You are exactly on-point with that observation. The place has been a-buzz with “Moo” talk and wonderful comments about you and your talks. I believe we will be trying to get you back here at least once if not more. I hope we will be able to have you work with our executive team at a minimum.
I also wanted to thank you for the allowing me to drive with you to the airport. What a wonderfully refreshing talk it was for me. I’m still not real sure why I felt such ease with our conversation, but it certainly was nice. Truly, and I must say truly again, I am so happy for you and Rebecca that you both are so strong in your faith - it brings much joy to my heart, and hope to me. I hope you were able to spend some time with your precious babies - I know they mean the world to you. Thank you for sharing all you did with me, I was touched.
I must run to meet with my mentee, she wants to work on how to be more engaged and positive in her work environment - I really do have the best job in the center!!!
I’ll leave you with this quote today; I think it says huge amounts about how we can choose to approach life:
“The trick in is what one emphasizes: we either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same.” ~ Carlos Castaneda.
Have the most lovely of weekends and if ever I can be of service to you please let me know, it would be my honor!

Kirk ~ Thank you for speaking at Leadership Lynchburg yesterday. It was very refreshing, and eye opening. It reminded me of how the little things truly mean a lot. Your style and enthusiasm are “infectious”. Once again, thank you for sharing yourself with us. I believe that your presence will inspire everyone in that room yesterday to become “scoopers” in their work place and community. ~ Thank you again.
