When we accept tough jobs as a challenge to our ability and wade into them with joy and enthusiasm, miracles can happen. — Arland Gilbert
And you can lose your life or a limb….so balance that boldness and temper that enthusiasm with just a bit of wisdom.
And if it’s Sharks…go wade somewhere else.

I’m still laughing.

I meant to respond earlier but have been wading through other stuff at work more recently! I have, like many divers, swam with sharks. I’m not sure whether the experience prepared me for working in higher education or vice versa
However, there are sharks and sharks - some are very dangerous but others just look so. One has to know how to behave depending on the shark (a bit like our workplace).
They are a much misunderstood creature and I think that whilst your message is true, it should also be said that we must seek to understand those we wade with so that we don’t end up getting bitten - or (perhaps worse) fear that we will be bitten when we need not.
Love T4D - great work Kirk.
