Choose to Cease to Worry
While the following may indeed be easier said than done… there is a real power and peace that comes into the life of those who eventually accomplish it.
There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will. ~ Epictetus

So, “don’t worry, be happy”?

This is something I am focusing on in 2013. I am substituting worry with faithfulness. As long as I do what I am able to do at the best of my ability, the end result is not within my own control but God’s, and for a purpose. So far, this is easing much unnecessary wasted tension in my life.

This is one of things I love so much about being in IT support/service. If you learn anything, when working to solve something, it’s that you can only work with the things that you actually have any control over. The rest is a complete waste of time and gets you nowhere fast… in fact it makes you worse off as it clouds your clarity of thought and direction. You learn to cast that aside very quickly and focus on the things that move you forward.
thanks Kirk,
