Achieving Authentic Success
I love talking about, experiencing, and striving to be and become an authentic leader. Recieving this e-mail today from one of my friends was right on by my way of thinking. Sounds like a great book. Here’s the e-mail - notice Bob’s job title at the end of the e-mail. “Encouragement Engineer” good stuff.
Kirk, I am reading a great book I thought you may enjoy. Achieving Authentic Success by Dr. Ron Jenson
There is a great “revelation” he describes in the book when people realize the value of other people.
”All the things in our lives, all the complicated structures we spend so much time and energy creating, are built on sand. Only our relationships to other people endure. Sooner or later, the wave will come along and knock down what we have worked so hard to build up. When that happens, only the person who has somebody’s hand to hold will be able to laugh.”
If you haven’t read this book, I highly recommend it. It is good from Chapter 1-4 and Great from that point on.
Thanks again for what you do.
Sincerely, Bob Brumm
