I was once told that we can chose to change ourselves or we can let the world change us. As for me I would rather chose to follow great leaders then to be tossed back and forth on the whims of the world. I have had many great leaders in my life that have shown me that being petty and mean will never accomplish anything. We should all be thankful for great leaders. I know I am. In my career, and as current as today, the lack of a leader is just as motivating to invoke change. One manager I reported to in the past was lacking in enthusiasm and an aggressive attitude. I learned a lot about these attributes and how to develop them in myself. That was a positive result! In today’s environment, the lack of leadership has caused me to look inward to determine what my strengths are and expound on them. I have been able to change in a positive way to focus on the things that are important to me and attempt to excel on these. The lack of leadership is also the key motivator for me to determine what the next goals are in the day, my career, and life.
