I am listening to an audiobook by M. Scott Peck M.D. (The Road Less Traveled) and it is about this very thing.  If you have not read it, I highly recommend it.  He doesn't pull punches...tells us that the responsibility of decision is ours and anything less leads to victimization.  

Good thoughy today, I've got some work to do in this area.  I appreciate the prompting.
