		<description>Kirk,
Hello from Ace Hardware!! Hope all is going well!!
I wanted to let you know that this quote from Tom Peters hit home!

After three plus years of attending classes, I just graduated from St. Xavier University in Chicago, IL with my MBA. I realized a while ago, that my skill set was lacking in a few areas and to keep myself fresh with both skills and in my thinking I went back to school. Now after the long journey, and much support from my wife and kids, I have added one additional weapon in my arsenal.

You can only imagine the difficulty involved with trying to get back into the school groove after 15 years out of college, but disciplining myself again to study, finish my homework, and take exams has helped me in my current work. I have improved in prioritizing my time better, trained my mind to think more globally, and address people situations fairly and quickly. I have received more from the time spent in school than just the diploma!

Of course, I have to comment on how important the support of my family has been. My children have watched their Dad struggle with some of the same challenges they are faced with their education and hopefully they now realize that solutions are just a result of challenging problems. My wife has been the most supportive taking on additional responsibilities around the house, forcing me to study, and even teaching me new things along the way! I could not have done this without all of them.

Going back to school is obviously only one way to retool, but rather than sit back and wait for something to happen, I thought it better to take action and retool myself through education!

During this graduation season, I encourage anyone thinking of returning to school to consider it and start the journey! I realized that I could not complete my degree until I started it!

To all those graduates this season, CONGRATULATIONS!!
Thanks for the regular messages and I hope you have great summer!!
