I had a dear friend die of cancer about a year ago. When she was first diagnosed, I bought a bat and all of us at work signed it. We added the Dr. Seuss quote, "I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!"

The bat was such a comfort to her. She took it with her for chemo treatments and would show all the doctors and nurses. She said it was her constant reminder of how much we loved her. Since then, I've had several people comment about the bat and ask me for the quote. ~ Margo
