You can do anything you set your mind to when you have vision, determination, and an endless supply of expendable labor.

Every dark cloud has a silver lining, but lightning kills hundreds of people each year who are trying to find it.

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

Always remember that you are unique. Just like everybody else.

When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.

It's amazing how much easier it is for a team to work together when no one has any idea where they're going.

Dreams are like rainbows. Only idiots chase them.

Let's agree to respect each other’s views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

The secret to success is knowing who to blame for your failures.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.

Ditto on the comments from Amy. I change out my quote on my email signatures to a T4D quote that I like each week(sometimes, each day!!). It's great fun to see the quote from an email that I send out to a colleague on our bulletin board as a means of inspiration for others.

My favorite quote(poem) is framed right by my desk. It's called "A Daily Prayer"

This day is mine to mar or make,
God, keep me strong and true.
Let me no erring bypath take,
No doubtful action do.
Let all I meet along the way,
Speak well of me tonight,
I would not have the humblest say
I'd hurt them by a slight.
Grant me when the setting sun,
This fleeting day shall end,
That I rejoice over something done,
Be richer by a friend.
Let there be something true and fine,
When night slips down to tell,
That I have lived this day of mine,
Not selfishly, but well.

Kirk,
I've been meaning to tell you about one of the ways I've been using some of your T4D quotes. (Thanks, Rachelle, for the inspiration to share!)

Earlier this year, I was asked to start up and lead a new Communications Team in our Customer Service division. Of course, I started out identifying several critical ways my team could bring value. Imagine my surprise when one of the first tasks our group of AVPs asked us to do was place news, information, and motivation in the stalls of our rest rooms!

We call this "critical" communication Stall Talk, and on many occasions, we take our inspiration from quotes we've received from T4D. Given the fact that you authored "The Dog Poop Initiative", I thought you'd love to hear that you've motivated us to use the quotes we receive from you in our rest rooms!

But, don't start thinking that your T4D isn't being used in a very glamourous way. You'v touched many employees in our rest rooms...wait...you've motivated and inspired many employees in our rest rooms...that's not it either! What I'm trying to say is that no matter the place, people love the thought-provoking quotes you send!

Thanks for doing what you do!

Just good thoughts to live each day by. The thought I live by every day is:

You cannot change yesterday, that is quite clear.
Nor begin on tomorrow, until it is here.
So all that is left for you and for me,
Is to make today, the best that can be.

This is heading I used on my blog.
