We talked to Kirk about the site and the book and the Scooper Movement.
The books success has been phenomenal, it's being used around the world, it's been formally translated into German and Hebrew and we've had website orders from every continent.
In fact when the initial website went live nearly 2 years ago the very first order was from New Zealand. We only had the most primitive merchant account and it only would process US addresses for shipping charges so we just sent international orders out for free.
The website was initially designed to give us a place to sell the book. We had self published so it wasn't in any stores and we needed a place where people could buy it online. The website worked but provided almost no resources for what would soon be hundreds of teachers and trainers who |  | | soon began using it to inspire greater ownership and initiative in their organizations. |
I approached TerpSys about helping to create a new site that would allow the books users "Scoopers" to have community. A place where they could share their scooper success stories and a place where they could share their teaching and training insights with each other. Community was the primary focus and goal for the new site. The TerpSys team has done an awesome job, it looks great, it meets or exceeds every goal we had going into the project. I couldn't be more delighted with their work and am excited to finally roll the site out to all of the people who are using the book. It will truly enable them to share best Scooper practices and take their Super Scooper efforts to the next level.
